Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using HikayatDaily ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

HikayatDaily is operated by Syed Mohamad Arif Bin Sayed Mohd Ali Saipuddin ("we," "us," or "our").

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use HikayatDaily. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

Description of Service

HikayatDaily is a mobile application that provides:

• Curated news content from various sources
• Personal note-taking functionality
• Article bookmarking
• Personalized news recommendations
• Push notifications for breaking news and daily digests

User Accounts

Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account by providing:

• A valid email address
• A secure password
• Your display name and date of birth

Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
• Abuse or misuse the App

User Content

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create, including:

• Notes and text
• Images uploaded to notes
• Bookmarks and preferences

Content License

By creating content in the App, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process your content solely for providing the service.

Prohibited Content

You agree not to create or upload content that:

• Is illegal, harmful, or offensive
• Infringes on intellectual property rights
• Contains malware or malicious code
• Violates any applicable laws

News Content

Third-Party Content

News articles displayed in HikayatDaily are sourced from third-party news providers. We do not:

• Create or endorse the news content
• Guarantee the accuracy of news articles
• Control the availability of news sources

Content Accuracy

We strive to provide reliable news sources, but we are not responsible for:

• Errors or inaccuracies in news articles
• Opinions expressed in news content
• Changes or removal of articles by news providers

Intellectual Property

Our Property

HikayatDaily, including its design, features, and code, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App
• Reverse engineer or decompile the App
• Use our trademarks without permission

Feedback

Any feedback or suggestions you provide may be used by us without obligation to you.

Advertisements

HikayatDaily displays advertisements through Google AdMob. By using the App, you agree to view advertisements as part of the service.

Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
• Use automated systems to access the App
• Harass, abuse, or harm others through the App
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Collect user information without consent

Disclaimers

"As Is" Service

HikayatDaily is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including:

• Merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Continuous, uninterrupted service

Service Availability

We do not guarantee that:

• The App will be available at all times
• The App will be error-free
• Defects will be corrected promptly

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, profits, or goodwill
• Service interruptions or failures
• Third-party content or services
• Unauthorized access to your data

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any) in the past 12 months.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through:

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Termination

By You

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.

By Us

We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without notice, for:

• Breach of these Terms
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Extended periods of inactivity

Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your right to use the App ceases immediately
• We may delete your account and data
• Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the App shall be resolved through:

• Good faith negotiations
• If unresolved, binding arbitration in Malaysia

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App.
